    Dear all

As part of a request made by the French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development, we are conducting a study on debris ingestion by sea turtles. For this purpose, we are building an international working group in order to establish a database which gathers data / knowledge on debris ingestion by sea turtles across the Mediterranean, namely:

    - Occurrence of turtles with ingested debris or entangled turtles (observation of dead or alive individuals),
    - Quantity of debris ingested by turtles (expressed in mass, volume or other unit),

And, to better evaluate debris ingestion risks, we may aslo consider:
    - Levels of debris ashore or at sea,
    - Turtles' spatial and feeding ecology, specifically for the Mediterranean sea.

We would be delighted to learn from your expertise and experience. Feel free to contact us to participate in this working group, send your knowledge / data and/or have more information on the programme.

    All the best,

    Gaëlle DARMON
