The studies conducted by the norwegian Spectrum in order to detect the presence of oil or gas in the seabed off the coast of Croatia, in the Adriatic, seem to have reached the final stage.
Although exact figures have not yet been disclosed, it appears that oil submarine stocks was estimated at 2.87 billion barrels. According to information provided by the Vecernji list of Zagreb, there would be a chance to activate about twenty mining platform centers. The discovery of deposits has already mobilized the world's major oil companies to rush for black gold and gas.
The procedure for oil concessions should begin in the first half of this year, while the Croatian government seems to be already assessing the most economically advantageous offer.
The deal, according to sources of the Vecernji list, would bring to Croatia, up to 1 billion and 300 million euro in four years.
